Known as "Florida’s Gateway to the Gulf Stream", located in Palm Beach County in southeast Florida, Boynton Beach is the third largest city in the county. It is approximately 20 minutes north of the affluent community of Boca Raton and about 10 minutes from the Delray Beach and 20 minutes from Palm. Parks and Recreation
With the number-one-rated beach in Palm Beach County and a new multi-million dollar marina project underway, Boynton Beach is a haven for water and outdoor activities. Boynton Beach is the Gateway to the Gulfstream and some fantastic fishing. Snorkelers can spend the day peering through the crystal clear water at Gulfstream Park, while swimmers and sunbathers may prefer Boynton’s main beach: Boynton Beach Municipal Park. Golf enthusiasts can spend the day on the green at The Links, a golf facility that features both an 18 Hole Par 71 Championship Course and a 9 Hole Par 30 executive length Family Golf Course. For more fun, check out the city’s 8 recreation centers and 29 parks, including: the Palmetto Greens Linear Park and the Kids Kingdom Playground. If you like birdwatching and wildlife, don’t miss a day at Mangrove Park. Manatees can often be observed hanging out in the area, along with birds, raccoons, and other wildlife.

Boynton Beach is served by the fifth largest school district in Florida, The School District of Palm Beach County. There are 11 elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools in the city. The city provides easy access to three state-of-the-art health care facilities, including Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach and Delray Beach Medical Center in nearby Delray Beach. There also are over 1,000 doctors, physicians, and medical specialists who work in the area. The South Florida commuter rail, Tri-Rail, operates routes that connect Boynton Beach to the rest of Palm Beach County, including Delray Beach and Boca Raton. The Tri-Rail and I-95 also connect easily to Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale International Airports.
